Roll out of your post-Thanksgiving food coma and get your waddle on! Join us for a 2 mile trot or waddle (your choice).
Wildlands will be hosting the annual Turkey Waddle in 2021. This year, we will be making a few changes to the logistics of the event in accordance with COVID-19 guidelines. But don’t worry, Wildlands’ staff & volunteers will be there to guide you!
Select a “Trot” ticket if you intend to run the course, and a “Waddle” ticket if you intend to walk.
Check-in will begin at 10am, with all participants gathering at Davis-Douglas Farm. Groups will leave in intervals from DDF, and will complete an approximately 2 mile course set in our neighboring Embry preserve. We will provide you with your group name and start time at check-in! Snacks and beverages will be provided for your post walk enjoyment at Davis-Douglas Farm.
Wildlands will also be orchestrating a local food drive. Please bring any non-perishable foods to the event, where we will have a designated drop-off area.
We are adhering to state guidelines for COVID-19. Please read rules carefully before buying your ticket:
- Participants must register in advance.
- Participants must be FULLY vaccinated.
- Participants must sign the Wildlands Trust COVID-19 Liability Waiver for Outdoor Programs virtually in advance. We will not accept hard copies at the door. This will be sent to you via Adobe Sign after you buy your ticket.
- If a participant or someone in their household is ill, has symptoms associated with COVID-19, has tested positive for COVID-19 within the past 14 days, or is awaiting the results of a COVID-19 test, they are asked not to attend.
- If a participant becomes ill within 14 days following their participation in the class, they contact should contact Programs & Outreach Manager Claire Johnston at cjohnston@wildlandstrust.org.
- These programs are weather permitting. If a program has to be cancelled for weather, attendees will be notified the night before by email.
